How the work finds you
Marketing for electricians
We run the marketing that keeps jobs coming in, from the after-hours callout to the switchboard upgrade booked next month.
How does marketing grow an electrical business?
Four things bring in electrical work online: your website, Google rankings, your Google profile, and ads. Different jobs lean on different ones.
-
Gets you in the map when someone nearby searches for an electrician. Your Google profile and reviews do that work.
-
Google Ads for electricians
Puts you at the top of Google straight away, which counts most when someone has no power. You pay per click.
-
Shows the work you do and makes it easy to ask for a quote. The other three all send people here.
-
Gets your website ranking on Google, so people pricing a switchboard or an EV charger find you without a click fee.
Ads and the map catch the urgent jobs, rankings and the website catch the planned ones, and every job you finish adds the reviews that win the next.
People are looking for an electrician.
Real Google searches, counted every month. Each one is someone who needs an electrician.

Nearly all of those searches show a map before anything else. Winning that map is local SEO for electricians.
Why marketing needs thought behind it
How people find an electrician keeps changing, and the urgent jobs behave nothing like the planned ones. Here is what we build around.
-
Your licence gets checked
Victoria, NSW and Queensland each publish a register anyone can search, and tell people to check. What they find online has to line up.
Energy Safe Victoria, Service NSW, QLD Electrical Safety Office, 2026.
-
They search when the power goes out
Across the whole keyword set, 40,740 searches a month carry emergency or after-hours wording. Nobody waits until Monday.
261 emergency, 24-hour, after-hours and urgent keywords. Semrush AU, pulled 2 Aug 2026.
-
Two jobs, two different searches
Planned work is its own pool of 50,650 a month. No power and a new switchboard are not the same search.
302 planned-work keywords (commercial, level 2, solar), none in the emergency total. Semrush AU, pulled 2 Aug 2026.

People now ask Google and AI
77% of Australians now use AI, and 12% say it is their main way to find information, up from 5% a year ago.

Lachlan from King Tradie is the top G of tradie website design, development, and management. I've worked with many website agencies and individuals, and no one comes close to Lachlan's attention to detail and high-end quality. He doesn't waste your time asking the same questions; in fact, he did his own research and made the onboarding and entire website development process easy. I normally get myself too involved in projects, but I literally only had to show up for the photography session. Lachlan handled the rest. If you want to skip the time and money wasters, go with King Tradie.

Highly recommend Lachie from King Tradie! He built a new website for my construction business and made the entire process simple and stress-free. I was able to hand over the reins and trust him to take control of the design and development, while still keeping everything clearly explained throughout the process. The finished website looks professional, the quality is excellent, and I'm extremely happy with the outcome. Most importantly, Lachie allowed me to stay focused on running my business instead of spending valuable time trying to build a website myself. Great service from start to finish!

Marketing questions?
See if we answered it below.
Should an electrician start with SEO or Google Ads?
For most electricians it is ads first, on the emergency work. Someone with no power picks whoever is at the top, and Google's top-of-page range for an "emergency electrician" click is $6.18 to $40.76 (Keyword Planner, AU, July 2026). SEO is the slower half.
Do I need a new website first?
Not always. Your Google profile does more of the early work for an electrician than the website does, so that often comes first. The website matters when someone is comparing you on a bigger job, and we fix it before we spend on ads.
How much does electrician marketing cost?
It depends on your area and what you already have. If your Google profile and website are in decent shape, the money goes further. We give you a real number on a call, once we know your services and suburbs. No lock-in contracts.
How long before I see results?
Ads can have the phone going within days of switching on, which is why they suit the emergency work. Rankings are the long one: months to build, then they keep bringing the planned jobs in without you paying per click.
